Qipai Group is a comprehensive group company focusing on apparel research, design and manufacturing, as well as sales. It has been shortlisted for the "China's 500 Most Valuable Brands" list for 15 consecutive years.
As the WMS of the core IT system of Qipai Group's new logistics center, Qipai chose Fuller's FLUX WMS solution after a year-long investigation. In this project, FLUX WMS fully integrated AS/RS warehouses, suspended sorting lines, box conveyor lines, and RF handheld terminals. Fully deploy FLUX’s complete solution for the apparel industry.
WMS not only needs to be connected with various automation equipment, but also needs overall coordination and scheduling to enable efficient collaboration between equipment to achieve maximum effectiveness.
AS/RS automated vertical warehouse is used for flat-packed full case storage, full case online picking and replenishment in the split picking area. WMS converts the order volume into full box demand and summarizes and merges it by SKU, generates outbound tasks and sends them to the automated three-dimensional warehouse, and uses label picking to complete online picking in the warehouse area. The application of vertical warehouse can save the floor space of the warehouse, reduce the number of forklift operators in the warehouse, and simplify the operation process.
For the storage and sorting of high-end hanging suits, Qipai uses the KNAPP hanging sorting line. This is also KNAPP’s first domestic project to interface with the WMS system. The KNAPP system's single-piece sorting capacity for hanging products can reach 9,600 pieces/hour, and its efficiency is much higher than the original delivery speed.
WMS will automatically analyze the SKU structure of dealer or store orders and combine the orders into wave picking instructions. Products with a high degree of overlap are picked together by SKU, and products with a low degree of overlap are picked by order partition. They are bound to hanging tags through RF, and then automatically sorted to each order through the sorting line under the dispatch of WMS.
After half a year of implementation and debugging, Qipai Jinjiang Logistics Center's clothing logistics center with a high level of modernization and automation has been successfully put into operation. The FLUX WMS system integrates various automation equipment, standardizes and solidifies standardized operating procedures, and realizes the efficient operation of Qipai Logistics Center. Qipai Logistics Center is responsible for distribution and distribution to 18 regional agents, as well as direct distribution to 3,000 terminal stores in 11 self-operated provinces. Even in the busiest peak season, the daily outflow volume reaches 100,000 pieces. Under the command of FLUX WMS, various automated systems work together in an orderly and smooth manner. The accuracy of order execution reaches 99.9%. The collaborative and intensive warehousing system brings efficient and orderly order processing.
| Classification | question | measure | income |
|---|---|---|---|
| Receipt of goods | Large cargo cages are used to receive goods, and the receiving personnel only scan. Multiple SKUs are mixed in a large cage and need to be redistributed when put on shelves. | WMS scans goods by box. There is one SKU per box, and it can also provide full box prompts and error prompts based on voice. | Improve scanning accuracy and efficiency, receive and sort goods at the same time, and no need to re-sort goods when put on shelves |
| On the shelves | Manual assignment, high requirements on shelf personnel | WMS calculates the putaway location based on appropriate putaway rules | The shelving process is simple, improving the shelving efficiency and strengthening storage location management. |
| Package | There is no concept of full box packaging management | Introducing strict full box packaging management | There is no need to scan each piece when the whole box is shipped out of the warehouse, which improves the efficiency of picking review and improves the efficiency of replenishment in the warehouse. |
| RF applications | There are many paper documents, and manual operations are not synchronized with system data in a timely manner. | Application of RF in shelving, full case picking, replenishment and other aspects | Real-time reflection of physical operations in the system reduces document circulation and improves inventory accuracy and timeliness |
| carry | Completely manual | The WMS directs the conveying, sorting line and suspension line to transport goods. | Improve work efficiency and reduce personnel burden |
| Order | Manually assigning orders is inefficient | The system automatically optimizes the combined order creation waves | Order processing and picking efficiency greatly improved |
| Picking | Picking to order, picking from large warehouse locations, finding goods from a pile of goods, relying on personnel experience | Pick goods by wave and task package, and pick goods at the storage location designated by the system | Reduce the picking walking path, realize full box picking, and reduce personnel requirements |
| transportation | The shipping volume is judged by the transporter based on experience, and the error is large. | The system predicts the volume of order goods based on basic product data. | Provide reliable support for vehicle dispatching |
